It was summer 2010, me and the girl were heading for our "ROAD TRIP" to Boston, Mass to see our five fav guys! I have never been so excited! Since Tamz and I both live in KY, we decided to ride together to pick up the rest of the girls. After all of our girls we're picked up...we hit the road. Tirzah pulled out our little playlist...........and got the party started right! Singing, laughing...it was a great time..but I had NO IDEA what I was in for.
We arrived at Boston a day or so later (not sure how long it really takes)LOL and we headed straight to our hotel..got checked in and cleaned up...and headed to dinner. We spent that first night...like a group of girls at a slumber party..drinking...dancing..pillowfighting...ect. It was a BLAST! NKOTB had brought back our youth...and there was so much more coming our way!
The next day I woke up with butterflies in my stomach...nervous and shaky all over! Tirz asked me" Whats wrong Shanna?".."Tirz..I'm hella scared to meet them..I'm scared to meed HIM!." She giggled "Shanna, if you can tweet Joe Mac that you are being penetrated by Dub..then you can do this!" I blushed, as I remembered I had done that! HAHA!!
We went about our day...had breakfast...took a swim in the hotel pool...then the time came for us to get prettied up for the guys. "So, Shanna what you planning on wearing?" asked Tamz "Should I go slutty, or sweet?"I asked. "Ha, Shanna, go for sweet...w/some slutty on the side!" We all cracked the hell up! Tamz, Tirzah, Jen, and I headed downstairs to await the arrival or our limo (hehe cuz we don't drink and drive) It's TIME!!
We arrived at the venue around 630, the concert was set to start at 8pm. We hung out just checking out the place..and talking to fellow blockhead sisters..It was amazing! So many!!
We enterned the main hall of the venue and proceeded to find our seats (1st row 5*)
"Oh..this is so crazy! I can't BELIEVE I'm here!!" I said. "Well Shanna, BELIEVE IT because the time has arrrrivvved" sang Tirzah. I laughed..but on the inside...I was overcome with excitement...nervousness..every emotion you can think of! We sat down...and waited for it to begin.
The house lights went dim...the music started (I'm getting chills) a voice rang out "If you came here by yourself...tonight..." I looked over at my girls and smiled..the tears were already starting to flow..."Girls...This is my greatest dream come true..I'm here with you...and finally getting to see NKOTB..what more could I ever ask for!", I said. All went quiet for only a moment....the music stopped...and then....rising out of the stage floor...one by one..Donnie..Danny..Joe...Jordan...and Jon...."Pretty mama if you're single...." The screams began! It was so loud I couldn't hear my own thoughts!!
The concert so far was more than I had EVER dreamed of! We were rocking it out...singing..dancing..and screaming! WOOOOOO!!!! There was a pause in the music..while Dub talked...he wanted to say how much he loved us..and thank us for always standing by NKOTB...he made us laugh...cry...all at the same time!.
He was giving love to all the girls in the front row...and then...he locked eyes...right at me!! He walked over to where I was and said.."I know you...you're Shanna." OMG OMG OMG!! I tried to calmly reply.."Yes D, I'm Shanna." He stopped for a moment and turned to Jon and said "Jon, you need to come here for a minute...you need to see what's on Shannas' shirt." OMG..NO HE DIDNT!! Jon walked over and bent down towards me...(MY SHIRT SAID "Shanna Sings For Jon" on the front and "JONS CANARYCRACK" on the back! LMAO! "Oh really...you sing for me?" he said. "Umm...yes...YES I DO!!" I exclaimed! I was freaked!! "Shanna, I think your dream to sing for Jon is about to come true" Tirzah said with a giggle. "Umm..OMG Tirz...NO WAY!!" I shouted! Dub pulled me up on stage and said.."Ok folks..we have a lady here who says she sings for our boy Jon..how about we give her that chance tonight?!" They took Jon and put in on a stool w/nothing but a spotlight on him...the house lights went down...and the crowd went silent. I thought to myself "Is this freaking FO REAL!" "Ok Shanna, this is your chance to show Jon what he means to you...do it up right." So, with my heart beating out of my chest...and shivers all over...I took Jon's hand in mine....I opened my mouth...and....I began to sing "To make you feel my love." "I know you haven't made your mind up yet...But Jon...I would never do you wrong.." I sang He smiled at me...never turning his gaze away from my eyes. HE KNEW I meant every lyric.
After the last lyric was over....the tears feel so hard...I couldn't speak. "Shanna, he said, That was wonderful...no one has ever done that for me before." "Thank you...(whispers in my ear) I'll be seeing you backstage. The crowd clapped and screamed...I was RED!! But, my dream of singing for Jon had came true! I was able to do it..when I thought I couldn't! (See Love Conquers All!)
So, I'll end this little story....I went back stage...we all got our Meet N Greet with the guys..but I left Boston with something no one else left with...When I left...Jon's heart came with me. LOL He gave it up willingly of course...I didn't force him at all LMAO!! I PROMISE! (Ok so I had to tie a rope around his cute ass) LOL Ok nevermind that..this is a fictional story...but...nothing is impossible!
